Apadana CentralOnly 13 months after the House first impeached President Donald Trump, lawmakers were back on Wednesday voting to impeach Trump an unprecedented second time for a US president. During the debate on the resolution, which charges that Trump incited a violent insurrection against the government on January 6, some of Trump’s allies were still using many of the same arguments they did a year ago to criticize Democrats and defend Trump’s actions. They also perpetuated misleading narratives about the events that led up to the attack on the Capitol.
