adminTEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, praised the Iranian people’s massive participation in nationwide rallies celebrating the 44th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Nasrallah noted that the Western media failed to report on the millions-strong marches across Iran and instead focused on small gatherings to instigate unrest.
He argued that those who bet on the downfall of Iran’s Islamic establishment are mistaken in their calculations, and their wishful dream will never come true.
During a televised speech in Beirut commemorating martyred military commanders of Hezbollah, Nasrallah also highlighted the US’s failure to bring Lebanon back under its control and dominance, citing the liberation of occupied Lebanese territories and the maritime border dispute settlement with Israel as significant achievements.
He also paid tribute to the martyred Hezbollah commanders and fighters, who remained steadfastly loyal to the Lebanese resistance movement despite all the difficulties they experienced.
Nasrallah warned against the Biden administration’s attempt to control public opinion by misleading the nation, citing a 2022 speech by former US President Barack Obama.
He urged various Lebanese political factions to put aside their differences and reach a consensus on electing a new head of state to succeed former President Michel Aoun.
The Hezbollah leader censured the US for being late in exempting Syria’s quake aid from the Caesar Act sanctions following last week’s devastating earthquake in southern Turkey and northwestern Syria.
He also called on Lebanon’s caretaker government to prepare a plan for possible quakes in the country.
Nasrallah described the current situation across the Israeli-occupied lands as “critical and unprecedented,” with tensions escalating under the far-right Israeli administration led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He highlighted that the Jews did not rule for more than eighty years throughout the Jewish history. He emphasized that the Zionist entity would cease to exist before the 80th anniversary of its 1948 creation, noting that the present Israeli regime is approaching the eighth decade of its existence.
