Iran-Turkey Trade Exceeds $2.6 Billion in H1 of 2023: TURKSTAT

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) on Tuesday said the trade exchanges between Iran and Turkey in the first half of 2023 stood at $2.635 billion.

According to the statistics, $2.635 billion worth of goods were exchanged between Iran and Turkey from January to June, showing a 21 percent decline compared to the same period last year.

The two countries had exchanged $3.364 billion worth of non-oil goods from January to June 2022.

Based on this report, Turkey’s export of products to Iran from January to June 2023 exceeded $1.442 billion, showing no significant change compared to last year’s corresponding period.

Turkey had exported $1.460 billion worth of products to Iran from January to June 2022.

Turkey’s import of products from Iran in the first half of 2023 stood at $1.193 billion, registering a 37 percent decline.

Turkey had imported $1.904 billion worth of non-oil products from Iran in the first half of last year.

Turkey’s balance of trade in the first six months of the current year in 2023 stood at -$61 billion, the report said.
