President Raisi departs for New York to attend 78th UNGA

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi left Tehran for New York in the early hours of Monday morning at the head of a high-ranking political delegation to attend the 78th United Nations General Assembly.

In order to attend in the 78th United Nations General Assembly on Monday morning, President Raisi, accompanied by Hojjat al-Islam Qomi, the representative of the Supreme Leader, Mohammad Mokhbar, the first vice president, and a number of ministers and delegate members headed to New York.

Speaking at the General Assembly, meeting with the heads of the countries and giving a speech to Iranian expatriates will be among the plans of Raisi in this trip.

The Iranian president will also explain the positions of our country and answer their questions in meetings with political, social, religious and media groups and individuals in America.

The annual meetings of the General Assembly, as the most important international event, is a good opportunity for international political consultations, which also provides bilateral dialogues due to the presence of most of the high-ranking officials of the countries of the world.
